LIBBY FROLICHMAN
I am an activist.
For years, I had pondered "what I wanted to be when I grow up". I had struggled to find my passion. While watching the election returns in 2016, my teenage daughter asked me how it was going. My only answer was, "I'm sorry. We didn't do enough." With that, I became determined to do everything I can to be sure nothing like that ever happens again.
I started googling and finding grassroots and existing groups that have been working on these issues. I started showing up and joining. I learned about the political landscape in Orange County. I joined Indivisible and protested in front of Dana Rohrbacher's office for 93 weeks (including election day) until he was voted out. I am a member of 5 local Democratic Clubs and an alternate for the County Central Committee. I attend these meetings regularly and I'm rarely silent.
I have participated in and helped organize many protests in Orange County including "Families Belong Together", "OC Women's March", "Stop the Bans" and "No One is Above the Law". I have lobbied in Sacramento with Planned Parenthood and in Washington, DC for gun reform.
I have found my passion and what I will be for the rest of my life--an activist. I will advocate for candidates and causes and work hard to move our county and our country forward.
